About

The Public Relations (PR) Committee aims to start meaningful dialogue about neurodegenerative diseases and treatments through social media campaigns. They are in charge of HAND's recruitment cycles, including organizing the applicant review and interview process. For the majority of the quarter, PR designs creative flyers and infographics to spread awareness of neurological disorders on social media platforms. Examples of past projects include updates on the organization (general meeting recaps, committee spotlights, event recaps, etc.,) updates on ongoing/current research, and fun facts. Furthermore, the PR Committee partners with the Innovation Committee in the design aspect of the simulation, helps the Outreach Committee with event promotion, and aids the Education Committee by encapsulating their material into a social media post and sending it out into the world. Past events that PR has helped plan include Pie a HAND Member, Valentine's Day HAND-Grams, and all end-of-quarter club socials.

Candy Cane Grams

The PR Committee comes together to create Candy Cane Grams to support Parkinson’s Community Los Angeles.

Club Socials

The PR Committee plans club socials. Some of our past socials include watching Black Mirror episodes and playing Just Dance.

Fall Recruitment

The PR Committee spearheads an annual Fall Recruitment cycle, organizing the applicant review and interview process. We set up a table at UCLA’s Enormous Activities Fair and flyer on Bruinwalk to promote our club’s campus presence and visibility.
